Day 1

When you schedule your first appointment with us we will send you paperwork that will need to be completed before you come into the office for your first visit!

When you arrive at the office you will meet with either Dr. Saturn or Dr. Tucker to review your/your child's history, paperwork, health goals and get a neuro-spinal analysis scan. This set of scans is completely non invasive and safe for the whole family! Utilizing these scans allow us to view your nervous system in way that we can see where your body is holding stress. For day 1 you can expect to be in the office for about 45 minutes.

Day 2

On your second visit you will receive a thorough walkthrough of your scans as well as the customized care plan that was created for you based on your scans, history, and health goals. This is a great time to ask the doctors any questions that you may have about your individualized care plan or scans. Then you will be able to schedule for the duration of your care plan. At the end of the visit you will receive your first adjustment. You can expect to be in the office for about 45 minutes for Day 2 as well.

Regular Adjustments

Once the new patient process is completed you will come in for your regular adjustments that will last 5-10 minutes. We do have water, snacks, a play area, as well as a mothers room with a changing table and nursing chair so that each visit will be great!

CLA Scans

At Sunrise Pediatric & Family Chiropractic , we utilize cutting-edge technology to evaluate each practice member’s nervous system, allowing us to uncover deeper insights into the root causes of their health challenges.

Our office uses CLA INSiGHT Scans , which have been certified by the Space Foundation for their reliability and scientific accuracy in assessing nervous system function and overall health. These scans are completely safe for everyone — from newborns to expectant mothers and beyond! They involve no heat, radiation, needles, or electrical impulses. Instead, they gently measure skin temperature, skin conductivity, heart rate, and muscle energy output.

We perform three specialized scans, and each generates a score. These individual scores are combined to create your CoreScore, which gives us a detailed look at how your nervous system is performing and adapting to everyday life.

Thermal Scan

Our thermal scan assesses the temperature on both sides of your spine, beginning at your sacrum and continuing all the way up to the base of your skull.

The surface temperature of your skin along the spine is regulated by your autonomic nervous system — the part of your body responsible for automatic functions like heart rate, breathing, hormone regulation, and more.

When your autonomic nervous system is operating at its best, the temperatures on the left and right sides of your spine should be balanced and even.

By performing this scan, we can identify the intensity and duration of the stress affecting your nervous system.

SEMG

Our sEMG scan — short for surface electromyography— detects patterns of stress within your nervous system that are impacting your postural muscle tone and balance.

The small muscles that run along your spine play a crucial role in maintaining structural support and providing proprioception, which is your body’s ability to sense its position and movement.

When the energy output of these muscles is too high or becomes imbalanced, it can negatively affect your energy levels, coordination, and the overall protection of your spine.

HRV

Our HRV scan — which measures heart rate variability
— provides valuable insight into how well your body and nervous system are adapting to stress.

Individuals with a healthy, well-balanced nervous system are able to respond to stressors easily and efficiently. On the HRV graph, they are represented by a white dot located in the “green” zone.

However, there are four other zones where your white dot may be plotted. This helps us determine whether your parasympathetic or sympathetic
nervous system is more dominant and how much adaptive capacity your body currently has.

FAQS

Does your office accept my insurance?

No, we do not accept any insurance. We do this for a variety of reasons, most notably so we can offer discounted family plans and give you and your family the best care possible! We can accept FSA/HSA cards.

What techniques do you use?

Dr. Tucker and Dr. Saturn are skilled and trained in a variety of techniques, including TRT, Full Spine Diversified, Activator, Thompson, Network Spinal, Bio Geometric Integration and the Webster Technique. They use their clinical expertise to decide which type of adjustments you will respond best to, and will also take into consideration patient preferences!

What are the scans you perform and are they safe for infants and pregnancy?

Yes! The scans we perform are 100% safe for newborns, pregnant moms, and everyone else. The scans allow us to take a deeper look into your nervous system to better tailor care to your specific needs.

Will I get adjusted on the first visit?

You receive your first adjustment on your second visit. This gives us the ability to look at the whole picture of your scans, history, and specific goals to make sure we are giving the best care possible.

How do I know if me or my child will benefit from chiropractic care?

We are glad you asked! The reason we have our new patient process split into two visits is so that we can fully analyze your history, neurological scans, and other factors to decide if you are a good candidate for chiropractic care in our office.
